The Core Group includes the most active members of the BNS-YG, thanks to whom all the activities are planned and carried out. The goal of the CG is to choose and set in place interesting workshops, technical visits for the young members of the BNS and strengthening the network.

Generalist nuclear engineer by education with a Master’s Degree from Torino and Stockholm, Fabio is now working as design engineer at Tractebel Engie on spent nuclear fuel containers and observing the global scene of new reactor designs.
Co-Chair & Responsible for international relations
Gert graduated with a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering from Aston University in Birmingham, UK. After graduating he joined Tractebel Engie, where he completed the Nuclear Trainees Program. He currently works in the mechanical equipment competence center of the nuclear department.
Webmaster, Communication Manager & Responsible for YG image
Arnaud graduated from UCLouvain in mechanical engineering where he studied thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. He is now working at Tractebel Engie as design engineer in the nuclear fuel and casks expertise group, and is also involved in Tractebel’s space diversification and digital innovation.
Communication Manager & Responsible for relations with universities
Working as a consultant for various clients in the nuclear industry, Koen is a generalist nuclear engineer with a main expertise in licensing on nuclear installations, decommissioning and radiological characterisation. Currently employed at The Binding Energy, an independent consultancy firm in the nuclear industry.
Generalist nuclear engineer by education with a Master’s Degree from Università La Sapienza (Roma) and MBA degree from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Brussels). Eleonora has more than 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry and she is now working as Innovation Manager at Tractebel Engie.
Technical Visits Manager
Graduated from the “Arts et Métiers” school in Paris in industrial engineering, Damien is now working as a project manager at Synatom on the nuclear spent fuel management. Previously, he was intervention manager for Areva NP (currently Framatome) on steam generator replacement, at the Cruas, Blayais and Paluel sites.
Responsible for SCK•CEN liaison
Nuclear engineer with a Master Degree from Politecnico di Torino and a PhD from the Université libre de Bruxelles, Riccardo is now working at the Belgian nuclear research center SCK•CEN as research engineer focusing on nuclear safeguards for spent fuel and radioactive waste.
Responsible for Engie Corporate liaison
Nuclear engineer by education (Master in medical nuclear engineering and Advanced Master in nuclear reactor physics), Joris is currently working as nuclear safety advisor for Engie Electrabel in which he performs independent nuclear safety oversight within key areas radiation protection and radwaste as part of health physics control.
Robby graduated in nuclear industrial engineering from the University of Hasselt in 2012. He then started working as inspector at the Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (FANC). Today, Robby is project leader at Transnubel, where he is responsible for the construction and engineering related to the transport of radioactive material.
Responsible for nuclear medicine liaison
After a first experience at Tractebel Engie in core & fuel studies, Florian is now working in proton therapy for IBA as a beam physics field service engineer.
