The BNS-YG Scientific Contest is an annual competition organized by the young generation network of the Belgian Nuclear Society. This event gives the stage to promising students and early-career professionals in the nuclear field. It’s all about showcasing the exceptional research that is being conducted in Belgium to an audience of peer nuclear professionals, members of the public, and all other nuclear enthusiasts.
The contest features three technical tracks: Nuclear Medicine and Biology, Radioactive Waste Management and Decommissioning, and Nuclear Science and Applications. Contestants present their work to a jury of experts in a two-round selection process.
Winning laureates then have the chance to present their findings during an award ceremony that boosts their visibility and celebrates their achievements. The award ceremony will be held at Tabloo in the evening of November 27th, 2025. This award ceremony is open to all nuclear enthusiasts. The evening will be closed by a networking reception in which posters of all contributions will be showcased.
