Long Term Operation Doel 4/Tihange 3 : insights on the program

Currently the Belgian government and ENGIE are in the final stages of signing the contract making it possible for Doel 4 and Tihange 3 to produce electricity for 10 more years. The stakes are high and the challenges are huge on many fronts. During this evening lecture, the lecturer will give insights on how we face these challenges head-on to make this program a success.

    René Lauwers has a master of science in electromechanical engineering (1998) and a master in nuclear engineering (2009). He has worked for more than 25 years in the nuclear industry within ENGIE including being seconded to NuGeneration Ltd. He has occupied various key positions such as maintenance manager in Doel and program management director for NuGeneration Ltd. He is since 2017 nuclear program manager.
