General Assembly + EVL: LTO… and beyond…

After presenting results of a simulation made by 100TWh to evaluate the cost of the Belgian phase-out, the discussion will focus on “what’s next”. Briefly reviewing the EU energy policy will provide the global framework surrounding the national electricity policy in making. Different options can be considered. But in an economically difficult environment where Europe is losing competitiveness, affordability and reliability of electricity supply have now come to the front as central pillars. How to optimise the electricity mix to reduce costs, meaning full system costs ? Is the electricity market design fit for purpose ? Elements to answer these questions will be proposed for reflexion.
