General Assembly + Evening lecture: Preparations for new nuclear power in Sweden

For the first time in more than four decades, Sweden has a government fully dedicated to nuclear power expansion. Strong climate ambitions, a need to strengthen the conditions for a competitive industry and increasing energy security needs are drivers behind this development. New nuclear polices, including a financing model, have been approved by the Swedish parliament. An overview of the Swedish nuclear new-build plans and current preparatory work will be presented.
