DESCRIPTION:>>>> The photos taken during the event are available here <<<< ( https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zgYOWdSAJ2WLcyWfBqerqo024ruaXJcA?usp=drive_link )\n2.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \n \n \nTo reward young people that entered the fascinating world of nuclear science, the BNS – with the help of its Young Generation, the Belgian Nuclear Research Center SCK CEN and the Belgian Agency for Radioactive Waste and Enriched Fissile Materials ONDRAF/NIRAS – organizes since 2004 a yearly contest for outstanding works related to nuclear applications in the broadest sense of the term.\nThis Nuclear Science Event is open not only for students to present their Master thesis but also to anyone (up to 36 years old included) who published a paper related to nuclear, whether it is at school, university or within a company. Candidates can choose to participate in one of the  categories listed above.\nThe BNS-YG Scientific Contest of 2024 will be organised on 26th of November and will take place at Tabloo (Gravenstraat 3, 2480 Dessel). During the contest, the winners of each category will be given the opportunity to present their work and receive their price. The contest will be followed by a reception.\nThe rules of the competition can be found here.\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nLaureates of the 2024 edition\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nAlberto Gil Cordero\nSCK CEN 1st price\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nTuning of ThO2 Target Materials Properties Towards Highly Porous Structure to Produce Radioisotopes for Medical Applications\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nAleksandr Tsybanev\nNuclear Science and Application price\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nExperimental Assessment of Thermodynamic Stability and Nucleation of NiO in Liquid Lead-Bismuth Eutectic for MYRRHA\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nMatthijs Sevenois\nNuclear Medicine and Biology price\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nOptimised Solid-phase Extraction of At-211: Activity Balance of At-211, At-210 and Po-210 After Wet Chemistry Target Dissolution\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nValentine Ackermans\nNuclear Waste Management and Decommissioning 1st price\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nStatistical Analysis of Reactor Coolant Daily Measurements for Consolidated Scaling Factor Definition\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nEmile Mukiza\nNuclear Waste Management and Decommissioning 2nd price\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nCo-immobilization of Cesium and Strontium Containing Waste by Metakaolin-based Geopolymer: Microstructure, Mineralogy and Mechanical Properties\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nMattias Simons\nNuclear Waste Management and Decommissioning 3rd price\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nLocalization of Hotspots via a Lightweight System Combining Compton Imaging with a 3D Lidar Camera\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nHenri Dolfen\nPoster competition 1st price\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nEffect of Stochastic Deformation on the Vibration Characteristics of a Tube Bundle in Axial Flow\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nChristophe Gueibe\nPoster competition 2nd price\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nRadiation Resistance and Durability Against Thermal Regeneration Cycles of Ag-ETS-10 and Ag-ZSM-5 for Collecting Radioxenon\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n
